Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
Damaree Driving School, 33B Imp Desiree Sicard, Desiree Sicard St, Port-Louis 11205, Mauritius. Phone and WhatsApp: 5793 2448. We decide how your personal details are used when you contact us, so we are the "controller" of that information.
2. What we collect
Only what you choose to tell us when you contact us by WhatsApp or phone, for example your name, phone number, area, preferred days and times, and the content of your messages. This website has no enquiry form at the moment.
3. Why we use it
To reply to you, send you our rates, organise your lessons and, where needed, organise your driving test registration.
4. WhatsApp
The WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp in a new tab or app. Messages are then handled by WhatsApp, which has its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies and similar tools
We do not set cookies of our own. Your language choice is kept in your browser's session storage and disappears when you close the tab. It is not sent to us. The embedded Google Map is provided by Google and may use cookies under Google's policy. We use or may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies, to count visits. To protect our WhatsApp button from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a short check in your browser when you use the page.
6. Hosting
Our website host may process technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
7. Sharing
We do not sell your details. We share them only with the services needed to contact you (for example WhatsApp), with the relevant authorities where needed to register you for a driving test, or when the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
Only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius you may ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how we use them. Contact us on 5793 2448 or by WhatsApp. You may also complain to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
10. Changes
We may update this notice. The date above shows the latest version.
